Future Wisdom
July 28th, 2011

There was a young girl who no one knew,
She always walked around with a smile,
No one ever knew how she felt inside,
One day as she was walking down the street,
There was an old lady sitting at the bus stop,
While passing the old lady, the woman looked
at the young girl and asked, “why are you so troubled?”.
The young girl looked and thought to herself “no one
has ever noticed before”. She looked at the old lady and asked,
“how could she tell something was wrong?” The old lady replied,
“my child, i’ve been on this earth for many of years and i’ve read
many faces throughout my days, i’ve only seen one other face that
looked like yours”. The young girl asked, “who?”, the old lady replied
“mine”. So she sat down on the bench next to the old lady and said,
“i lost someone very special to me a few years ago and i miss him so much”.
The old lady took a second as she looked at the young girl then replied, “you remind me of myself when i was your age. I’m 102 years old and i lost someone in my early years of life and i still love him just like it was yesterday, that was 80 years ago”. The young girl asked her, “why do love hurts so much?” The old lady stated, “sweetheart, love isn’t given to you to hurt you, love is patient, love is kind, it’s a beautiful thing to share with someone and it makes you happy”. The woman looked at the young girl and said, “do us both a big favor and find happiness again, because if you don’t, you’ll let love pass you by for the rest of your life”. The young girl smiled and thanked the old lady for matured wisdom and started to walk away. As she thought to ask woman her name, she turned around and the lady was gone. She glared at the bench and seen a picture lying right where the woman was sitting. She walked over, picked up the picture and it was a picture of the young girl. She turned the picture over and it read: “HAPPY, Age:28, 74 years ago”.
